Precise Temperature Mapping At High Resolution
IR reception enabled microscopy allows for temperature mapping techniques.
With the high resolution of our systems, we can provide an acute gradient of temperatures across a die or system.
This may be used either to isolate a failure, or give an understanding to how a die or package dissipates heat during normal operation.
With temperature mapping and a bit of interpolation, power dissipation can be mapped across the system as well, helping for design tweaks further along in new revisions. These heat maps may be overlain on an optical image to give a complete understanding of heat flow and temperature anomalies.
